Deposits and withdrawals

Moving USDC in and out, and what it costs.

Collateral on Swapmos is USDC, and only USDC. Depositing is an on-chain transfer into the Swapmos vault, not an API call, so it costs gas and takes a confirmation. Withdrawing goes the other way and is signed by your wallet every single time.

Depositing

Use the Deposit button on the Account page, or Add funds on the order ticket when your balance is empty. It is two transactions, and the dialog walks you through both.

  1. 1Pick a network. The row of logos is every chain this broker accepts. Clicking one switches your wallet to it, so the highlighted logo is always the chain your wallet is actually on.
  2. 2Enter an amount. Balance N beside the field fills in your whole wallet balance.
  3. 3Approve USDC. The button reads Approve USDC while the vault's allowance is below your amount. This is a normal ERC-20 approval.
  4. 4Deposit. The button then reads Deposit and moves the USDC into the vault.

Both transactions are simulated before your wallet is asked, so a problem comes back as one sentence rather than a raw revert. Your balance appears a few seconds after the deposit confirms, because the exchange credits from the on-chain event rather than the receipt.

Gas is paid in the chain's native token, not USDC. Depositing on Base needs a little ETH on Base; on BNB Chain it needs BNB. Without it the transaction cannot be sent, and the dialog will say so before you try.

Minimum deposit

the exchange publishes no minimum. Swapmos sets one per network, because withdrawing costs a flat fee no matter how small the amount: put in less than that fee and the money cannot come back out. The minimum is three times the chain's withdrawal fee, with a floor of 5 USDC.

NetworkWithdrawal feeMinimum deposit
Arbitrum, Optimism, Base1 USDC5 USDC
BNB Chain, Avalanche, Solana1 USDC5 USDC
Sonic, Berachain, Abstract, Sei1 USDC5 USDC
Ethereum2 USDC6 USDC
Mantle2 USDC6 USDC

The figure for the chain you have selected is shown before you type anything, and each network logo carries its own in a tooltip. Amounts below it are blocked rather than warned about.

Withdrawing

Use the Withdraw button on the Account page. Enter an amount, or press Max to take everything that is free. Free means collateral not currently backing a position: margin locked against an open trade cannot be withdrawn until you close it.

Every withdrawal is signed by your wallet, not by the trading key stored in your browser. That key is scoped to reading and trading only, so even a fully compromised browser cannot move your funds.

The signature covers the amount, the destination and a one-time nonce fetched immediately beforehand, so a captured signature cannot be replayed for a second withdrawal.

  • The network fee is deducted from the amount, so You receive is always lower than what you typed.
  • Withdrawals go back to the same wallet address that owns the account.
  • Past deposits and withdrawals, with their status, are on the Transactions tab of the Account page.

Settlement

Profit and loss on an open position is unrealised: it moves your account value but is not yet withdrawable collateral. Closing a position realises it. the exchange settles realised PnL into your balance separately, and that settlement is also a wallet signature rather than something the trading key can do.

If a withdrawal is smaller than expected, check whether some of your balance is still unsettled PnL or is locked as margin against a position that is still open.
